It’s National Wine Day tomorrow! You may not know this about me, but I love a really good glass of wine and typically have one every night. Do you know what pairs deliciously with wine? Vegan cheese! I have shared my favorite dairy-free cheeses in my cheese guide, but I am having even more fun with my favorite food and beverage combo by rounding up a few vegan cheese recipes. Have you tried making your own dairy-free cheese? It’s not that hard at all! I was intimidated at first, so I waited a while to get on the homemade cheese train, but now that I have, I am never getting off! Once you get the basic technique down, you can add different seasonings and mix-ins to create various creations. I think homemade cheese is an elegant appetizer and taste elevator in signature dishes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making my own cheese every week, but for National Wine Day, I thought it would be fun to do something a little special.
So, pour yourself a glass of wine and make yourself a vegan cheese platter with some of the delicious recipes below – and let’s toast to National Wine Day!
