If you have been following me recently, you know that I am a huge fan of Raddish Kids’ subscription boxes and recently, a brand partner (providing all of the dietary substitutions to make each box vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and gluten-free). Founder, Samantha Barnes, was also a recent guest on my YouTube show, “The Good Life With VeegMama.” I am so excited about this monthly subscription kit and it’s goal to get families cooking together, that I had to give you a peek at this month’s Raddish Kids July box.
The folks at Raddish Kids are brilliant and come up with fantastic themes for each month’s box. This month: Campfire Kitchen. Watch the video to see exactly what comes in the box and read below for full details.
This is the first thing you’ll find in each box with all the specific elements included in each box. I love that that beyond the recipes, there are also other cooking related activities that combine skills and science:
Create and Play
Practice and Learn
Collect and Share
and of course, you always get a Shopping List with all of the ingredients for all of the recipes. You also get links to Bonus Bites, which includes my vegan and gluten-free substitutions plus other activities, additional recipes, and a playlist while you cook. Also on this card is… my favorite item – a themed patch to sew onto your apron!
Each kit come with 3 laminated recipe cards, complete with visual and descriptive instructions, as well as lists for kitchen tools and ingredients needed. This month’s box has recipes for Fireside Paella, Campfire Banana Boats, and Happy Trails Granola.
Each kit always includes a card that teaches a kitchen skill. This month is Roasting Marshmallows, tying into the box theme.
You always get an activity card too! I love this month’s activity: A Solar Oven experiment!
Table Talk Cards
These are a box staple. Each box has great conversation starters that you can use at the table. My kids fight over who gets to ask what!
I hope you love this box as much as I do. Please let me know what you think in the comments section below and tell me if you are going to subscribe for your own Raddish Kids subscription.
