Father’s Day is one of my favorite “holidays” because I get to celebrate my hero, and my Prince Charming. These men make my world go round – couldn’t do what I do without them. This year, my hubby wants burgers so I came up with a fun Burger Bar theme to celebrate these incredible men in my life. Read on to get the details!
Setting Up The Bar
Give yourself plenty of space to set everything up. You’ll want room for the burgers, condiments and toppings, as well as any sides for the meal. My Burger Bar will include a variety of patties and toppings for everyone to make their own masterpieces.
I had lots of fun brainstorming creations and naming them for the occasion. These are some of my favorites that I will print out for everyone to see as inspiration.
The Macho – Guacamole, jalapenos, and tempeh bacon
Ay Papi – Chili, cheese, and red onion
The Daddio – BBQ sauce, tempeh bacon and grilled onions
The Father Figure – Lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and ketchup
Have you tried Beyond Meat’s Beast Burger? It looks and tastes very much like a regular hamburger! For other plant-based options, try a chickpea burger or a black bean burger. These Olive Lentil Burgers also look divine.
The options here are endless. Get creative! Some ideas include:
Onions – grilled and raw
Daiya cheese slices
a variety of Miyoko’s Kitchen cheeses, sliced
Don’t forget the condiments!
A variety of mustards
What did I miss? Please share your favorite toppings and condiments in the comments section below. What are you serving for Father’s Day?
